What a man gotta do to get his message across?
Amid his ongoing divorce proceedings with estranged wife Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas shared a cryptic message from backstage at a Jonas Brothers' tour stop in Nashville.
In the Oct. 11 post to his Instagram Story, Joe's reflection—first looking down and then directly ahead—can be seen in a mirror with the question, "What do you want them to feel?" written around on the rim. However, on the mirror itself, someone has written the phrase, "I am at the right place at the right time, doing the right thing."
The eyebrow-raising note comes just two days after Joe and Sophie reached a temporary custody agreement for their two daughters: Willa, 2, and a 14-month-old whose initials are DMJ. Per legal documents viewed by E! News, the singer, 34, and the Game of Thrones star, 27, have agreed to split their time with their children equally through the New Year, allowing each parent to have their daughters for different holidays.
In light of the agreement, Joe and Sophie made it clear they're looking ahead to their coparenting future.
"After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the U.K.," the former couple shared in a statement to E! News on Oct. 10. "We look forward to being great co-parents."
The agreement comes after Sophie filed a lawsuit Joe in late September, alleging that the "Only Human" singer was preventing their children—who have citizenship in both the U.K and U.S—to return to their "their habitual residence of England."
In response to the suit, spokesperson for Joe adamantly denied Sophie's claims and said in a statement to E! News, "Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the U.K."
Under their temporary custody agreement, Sophie has leave to take their daughters to England while they are with her.
The news of Joe and Sophie's split after four years of marriage came on Sept. 5 when the "Cake By The Ocean" singer filed for divorce from the Dark Phoenix star. The following day, the two shared a joint statement to their social media.
"After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," read their Sept. 6 message. "There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."
